Decrease your restaurant’s cost of goods by 5%+ per year.

Your purchasing department, optimized

Prior to starting Foodservice Advantage, our founder was CEO and COO of three foodservice distributors. Our business model is to take that knowledge and help you purchase better.

Our clients are small restaurant chains, anywhere from a few units up to 100+. Most restaurant groups of this size have more purchasing power than they realize. We help you realize that purchasing power by negotiating and managing your distributor and manufacturer relationships.

Importantly, we work with all distributors and manufacturers. We are not a group purchasing organization that forces you into specific relationships. Your current supply chain can stay exactly as is if that is preferred. We work for you and are paid by you.

  • "Having an insider helping me understand what we are worth to a foodservice provider was invaluable."

  • "Foodservice Advantage can talk the distributors' language, and it's a language we didn't know."

    City Barbeque (72 locations)

  • "Foodservice Advantage helped me become a better owner, a more knowledgeable owner, a more efficient owner. And at the end of the day, it helped our business become a more profitable business."

Arooga’s Grille House & Sports Bar (10 locations)

Our process has 3 steps:

1. Distributor relationships

The first thing we do with any new client is negotiate an industry best contract with the distributor of your choice.

Fee-based contracts protect you from inflation better than margin or markup contracts. And buying from one distributor means consolidated buying power and thus better pricing.

In addition, we go after hidden money. Some products you buy have $10+ per case in hidden money that flows between distributors and manufacturers. We negotiate deviations on these.

2. Manufacturer relationships

Next, we negotiate directly with manufacturers to get deals on your most purchased items. Like with distributors, consolidating purchasing leads to more buying power and better pricing.

We work with dozens of manufacturers and brokers. We can help you find alternative or new products from many different sources, or keep all suppliers the same.

3. Administrative work

On an ongoing basis, we stay on top of all contracts, deals, and deviations to ensure everything stays up to date. And we audit pricing to ensure your suppliers are doing what they promised.

We also help put out fires, find last minute alternatives, and many other small things that occur in the day-to-day world of purchasing. Think of us as being part of your purchasing department.
